Healthy Futures Texas, founded by Dr. Janet Realini, is ‘dedicated to reducing teen pregnancy and unplanned pregnancy in San Antonio and Texas’ with very little mention of STD prevention. The R U Ready cards were posted on the Programs page and listed four clinics. Two of them are Planned Parenthood centers, Las Palmas and Ashby.
Dr. Janet Realini is also the author of Big Decisions, a Sex Ed program used in Austin ISD, Dripping Springs ISD, Lake Travis ISD, and many San Antonio school districts. In some school districts, Planned Parenthood provides the instruction of Big Decisions in the classroom.
